Become a Level 6 Biomechanics Coach
The Diploma in Professional Development in Biomechanics Coaching (Resistance Specialist), is a course that Intelligent Training Systems (ITS) is launching in partnership with Star Trac Fitness.
This expanded Diploma complements the Biomechanics Coaching Diploma by adding a two day resistance specialist focus as it explores how Biomechanical Coaching can be infused with resistance trainingto produce a more complete exercise practitioner.
Course Summary
The Diploma consists of approximately 450 hours in total. This consists of on-line research and study in related anatomy (including the muscular, skeletal and nervous systems of the body) and completion of worksheets.
There are 7 days which require full time attendance. Plus, an additional 250 hours to complete a Biomechanical Reflection & Business report and compile a Case Study Report & Literary Review consisting of 10 practical case studies and additional research into the use and effects of Biomechanical Screening. At the end of the course there is 1 day of a case study presentation and practical assessments.
Career Education - Information and guidance
As a Career Development Diploma this will give the student new skills which will develop opportunities to work in/offer injury prevention and back care screens and coaching advice to a variety of client bases including sports arenas, Health & Fitness and clinics. A business development session is incorporated into the programme.

Entry requirements for admission to the course include:
Candidates must have/be qualified in an area that prescribes exercise to individuals/groups. Recognised qualifications include: Level 2 (and above) coaches/gym instructors, Personal Trainers, Sports Scientists, Strength & Conditioning coaches, Sports Therapists, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors, Occupational Health, Orthotists, Studio Instructors (Yoga, Pilates, etc.). Other qualifications will be considered.
