The courses are for all those who prescribes exercises to elite level sports people, to young school children to those who sit behind a desk. Typically you will be an athletics coach, personal trainer, occupational health specialist, strength and conditioning coach or therapist, but anybody who prescribes exercises for any reason will benefit from our courses. Please note the minimum qualifications required to take part in the CPD education programme:
We have 3 Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses that teach you how to assess and screen your athletes/players/patients biomechanically and then how to prescribe exercises to manage any deficits. The 3 x 1-day courses are designed to take your screening through 3 phases; Normalise, Stabilise and Functionalise. Once they have completed the 3 phases this will help them move freely and allow them to perform pain free movement. Biomechanical preparation is the foundation for all sport, work related tasks and in fact all human movement. Understanding how to apply these principles to your environment will give you amazing results
Before the core focusing on the screening and releasing of muscle, nerves and joints, allowing them to move more freely, this phase is the key to pain free movement
True core stabilisation where you will learn to control joint movement and improve performance in the trunk and hip muscles
Shoulder release and knee re-alignment. An important phase teaching specific exercise to release muscle tension and stabilise and re-pattern correct movements using these joints.
The courses are designed for coaches from all sports and for all levels and there are several that have been specifically designed for individual sports with the endorsement of their governing bodies like the PGA and British Triathlon. Participants will benefit from the courses by being able to identify fundamental biomechanical issues with their clients and then be able to implement a training programme to address any deficits. This will not only help their injury prevention programmes and reduce the risk of injury it will also improve their performance.
"Learn it today and use it tomorrow is our philosophy"
We answer questions like:
Biomechanical coaches will have previously trained in their own specialism’s, in the Health & Fitness, occupational health and Medical or Conditioning fields, so will be already qualified to prescribe exercises. The biomechanical coaching qualification upgrades these existing skills to enable application of the principles of biomechanics to such areas as injury prevention, injury management, conditioning and optimal performance, depending on previous training. So, a therapist will be able to apply this knowledge to injury management; a personal trainer would apply the techniques to injury prevention and conditioning; while a sports coach would use biomechanics knowledge for injury prevention and developing optimal performance.
