In the ITS Biomechanics coaching structure, there are 6 levels in Biomechanics coach development pathway:

  • Level 2: Coaches are trained to screen the pelvis, spine and neural system and prescribe the relevant corrective exercises.
  • Level 3: As Level 2, plus Level 3 coaches are also trained to screen the core and trunk musculature, then establish the right level of core exercises on the performance continuum.
  • Level 4: As level 3, plus trained Level 4 coaches can additionally screen shoulder and knee Biomechanics and prescribe the relevant corrective exercises.
  • Level 5: As level 4, plus Level 5 coaches have the additional qualifications to screen and prescribe relevant exercises for the foot and ankle; level 5 is proven to be competent by examination and leads to a Diploma in Biomechanical Coaching.
